A Really Great Weekend

Yesterday I made a pie for father's day. This is me being super punny, since in Portuguese, father is Pai. See?

The babies love the pie! It's strawberry rhubarb, and it's been enough to bribe them with to get them out of fun places like restaurants, swimming pools and natural springs.

This morning, the babies and I went out to get Carlos a father's day gift. You guessed it. A grill.

I loled.

Then we all went swimming and out to eat (both days, actually), came home and had pie. Very win.

The springs are great because unlike the ocean, there are no waves to knock the babies down, and the water is fresh. Unlike the pool, they can learn to swim with the comfort of knowing they can stand if they want to.

The springs stink because they cost money to get into. A lot of money, in my opinion. And the lady at the gate tried to tell me the babies were five so she could charge them, too. Um, no.

We went to eat at a rib place afterward, and the waitress serving us is having twin boys in October. She already has three children at home. Whoa.

Then Dulce was shouting at her sister: "LILLY!" And from over the partition we heard another toddler yell: "Yes!?" Confused looks all around. Dulce: "LILLY?!" Over the partition: "YES!!!!!!!!"

LOL.

And then some kid at the next table over said wicked loudly, "I can't believe they have TWO BABIES." His parents shushed him really quickly.

I looked over and said, "I can't believe it either."

See, front-gate lady? Even a four year old knows the babies are babies!

I am incredibly lucky and thankful. I don't say that enough, but it's true.
